Local Laws 122 & 123: What NYC Property Owners Must Do
Beginning in 2026, Local Laws 122 and 123 of 2023 tighten coordination between HPD and DOHMH. Owners of multiple dwellings must certify that all apartments — not just those with children — have undergone a current lead inspection by an EPA-certified firm.
Key Owner Responsibilities
- Maintain inspection and abatement records for at least 10 years.
- Provide tenants with the federal “Protect Your Family from Lead in Your Home” booklet.
- Submit inspection affidavits upon HPD request.
EnviroCore’s digital system stores inspection results securely and generates signed affidavits for submission. Our EPA Lead-Safe Certified team ensures all data meet HPD and DOHMH standards.
